Marchadesch. Sounds foreign? Spelled foreign? But definitely Jake D. Marchadesh is a Filipino and a PUPian.
Jake is sophomore student taking up Bachelor in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He is the President of his class and currently a member of the dynamic HRM Society.
Jake was as active in High School as he is now in College. He was the Auditor in the Supreme Student Council when he was in his 4th year in Antonio A. Maceda Integrated School. He also served as the 4th year representative in Filipino and Math Club.
Jake also has an active involvement in community. He was Secretary of YMCA branch in their School, and was named as YMCA Outstanding member. He also joined the Feature Writing Contest Competition-Division Level and ranked 10th among many contestants. Jake also received the Infantado Ylagan Scholarship Award.
Jake, whose favorite colors are sky blue, pink and violet, spends time watching TV, listening to his favorite songs and reading. Among local character artists, Piolo Pascual and Judy Ann Santos are Jake’s favorite. For a foreign actor, it is Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame.
His favorite Dish is Kare-Kare. Blame it to too much national patriotism, but Jake’s favorite subject is Basic Food for Filipinos. He simply loves to cook. However, he is embarrassed to admit that one time his professor scolded him for cooking wrongly.
He takes Ramon Magsaysay as his leadership model. Why? Jake says, “Kasi siya lang ang presidenteng totoo sa pagtulong sa mga mahihirap.”
With his very interesting name, Jake is running as councilor for the upcoming CSC election this February. He is determined to stand and voice out the spirit of a real PUPian.
